Canadian Rockies Adventure Retreat

September 5-9 2025

For women who are ready to say YES to adventure, to confidence, and to forging real connections…

For those who want to unplug from the noise of everyday life and tap into their boldest, most capable selves…

And for those who crave sisterhood, in camaraderie, encouragement, and shared experience…

Our Canadian Rockies Retreat strips away distractions—no screen and no “I’ll just stay on the sidelines” energy. Just you, the wild, and a group of incredible women cheering you on as you hike, climb, and push past your comfort zone in one of the most breathtaking landscapes on earth.

This retreat is specifically designed for women who:

🔥 Want and need a real break from their routine—no distractions, no expectations, no constant planning for everyone else.
🔥 Are active people, LOVE adventure and are excited to try new things, challenge themselves, and move their bodies.
🔥 Want to be part of a true community, where everyone is welcome and we lift each other up—no cliques, just camaraderie.
🔥 Are ready to put themselves first, take up space, and step into a braver, more confident version of themselves.

And for those who long for:

Deep, meaningful connection with like-minded women in a child-free, substance-free space.
Excitement, awe, and a fresh perspective that only time in the wild can bring.
Redefining what they’re capable of —in this retreat, and in life.

If you’re ready to disconnect to reconnect, embrace adventure, and surround yourself with women who will cheer for you, not compete with you, this is your sign.

This retreat is full of curated adventures that will give you visceral, unforgettable experiences—ones that shift your perspective, stretch your comfort zone, and root confidence deep into your bones.

Think:

🔥 Laughing around a crackling fire on the first night, playing silly games that turn strangers into fast friends.
🔥 Standing on the edge of a mountain ridge, harnessed in and heart pounding.
🔥 Feeling the steady rhythm of a horse beneath you as you ride through the Rockies, taking in the wild beauty all around.
🔥 Slowing down with a morning hammock session, coffee in hand, breathing in the scent of pine.
🔥 Rappelling into canyons, crawling through ancient caves, tapping into a part of yourself that’s braver than you knew.
🔥 Letting it all sink in as you unwind at a Nordic spa, muscles relaxed, mind clear, soul recharged.
🔥 Leaving with a camera roll full of photos that capture your adventurous, radiant, unstoppable energy.

This isn’t just a trip. It’s an experience that stays with you. A reminder of who you are when you strip away the distractions, the expectations, and the noise.

Our group of badass women will enjoy:

🏕 Sleeping in cozy trapper’s tents, cooking over an open fire, and trading artificial light for starlit skies.

🏔 The heart-pounding thrill of a Via Ferrata ridge walk—scaling heights, crossing suspension bridges, and feeling stronger with every step.

🐎 A peaceful horseback ride through the mountains, soaking in views that look straight out of a postcard.

🧗 The rush of caving—navigating underground passages and rappelling down rock faces like the fearless adventurer you are.

🔥 Evenings spent around the fire, sharing stories, laughter, and the kind of connection that makes you feel truly seen.

🛁 A deep exhale at the Nordic spa, where hot pools, cold plunges, and saunas reset your body and mind.

📸 Professional adventure photos to capture your strength, courage, and the wild, unfiltered joy of pushing your limits.

💫 A wee bit of time to slow down, journal, hammock nap, and simply be—because adventure is about balance.

There’s no power, almost no cell service, and absolutely no drama—just pure presence, deep connection, and the kind of adventure that reminds you exactly what you’re capable of.

If you are an active gal who loves adventure and being in nature but don’t always have a group of friends who are into the same kind of wild experiences, or if you do but don’t want the hassle of planning it all—this is for you.

Our Being Brave Club retreats are designed to:

🔥 Get you out of your comfort zone—in the safety of a supportive, welcoming environment.
🔥 Inspire you to go after even more in your day-to-day life.
🔥 Shake up your routine and remind you just how much you’re capable of.

Some of what we’ll be doing might feel scary as sh*t—and that’s normal. When that fear creeps in, know that we’ve got your back. Whether it’s talking it through, screaming it out, holding your hand, or just hyping you up—we’re in this together.

By the time you head home, you’ll be able to say “I DID THAT.” And that confidence? It’s coming with you.

MEET YOUR HOST: I’m Crystal, and I believe bravery isn’t about being unafraid—it’s about taking action despite the fear. As a photographer, adventurer, and storyteller, I’ve built a career helping women step outside their comfort zones—whether that’s in front of the camera, on an epic adventure, or in their every day lives.

I’ve never been fearless, and I don’t think that’s the goal. I’ve felt fear in so many moments—starting my own business, saying yes to things I wasn’t sure I was ready for, standing at the edge of an adventure that felt bigger than me. But I’ve also learned that bravery is built in those exact moments—the ones where fear is loud, but you move forward anyway.

Adventure has been my greatest teacher. It has shown me how strong I am, how capable, how wildly alive I can feel when I stop overthinking and just go for it. It’s why I created Being Brave Club—because I know what it’s like to need a push, a reminder, a group of people who say, “You’ve got this.” And I also know the magic that happens when you prove to yourself that you do.

There are plenty of incredible places to have an adventure, but Kananaskis keeps calling me back. No matter how many times I explore these mountains, they always have something new to show me—a hidden trail, a breathtaking view, a challenge that reminds me just how capable I am.

This retreat isn’t just about getting outside—it’s about getting into the wild, into the kind of experiences that push you, reset you, and leave you feeling more alive than ever. There’s no better place to do that than here—surrounded by fresh mountain air, untamed wilderness, and a landscape that makes you feel small in the best possible way. This is Canada at its most raw and beautiful, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Incase it hasn’t been obvious until now, this is a full-on adventure with a packed itinerary! It will be active, adrenaline inducing and one that will force you to confront some limiting beliefs. All of it is by design to bring you out of your comfort zone, into your body and build confidence by doing what you thought you couldn’t do. Here’s what we have in store:

Opening day: we’ll check into our accommodations, settle into our spaces and gather around the fire. Night one is all about connection and getting to know the women who’ll have your back through the entire adventure. Expect some silly games to make fast friends and some deep questions to form unbreakable bonds.

Do NOT sleep in, this day is jam packed and on a soldier-worthy schedule! Our shuttle will pick us up bright and early and deliver us to our first and a pretty epic adventure! We’ll be doing Via Ferrata at Mount Norquay.

After our first big adventure we’ll hop on over to adventure number two where we’re headed to the stables for a gentle horseback ride through the mountain scenery to slow down and just take in the beauty around us.

Free time when we’re back at camp and dinner with your bunk mates!

Day one was a huge day! Today we’re going to slow it down, potluck breakfast together, lounge time and an optional afternoon hike. Team-building cook out in the evening and prep for the next day’s adventure!

Another BIG adventure day! Hope you got some rest yesterday!

We’ll be picked up early again and headed to an underground adventure! If you said yes to this part of the adventure– you’re going caving! We’ll make a stop at our tour office to get outfitted and oriented and then it’s into the underworld we go!

After this big adventure we’ll have a short stop at camp to change up for an evening of relaxation, connection and sharing celebrations at the Kananaskis Nordic Spa.

Our last day, we’ll have another potluck breakfast together, closing circle and celebrations! Pack up camp and roll out!

Ridge walker excursion

Italian for “iron road”, Via Ferrata is an assisted climbing experience along five breathtaking routes on the cliffs above Mt Norquay. Climb ladders, cross suspension bridges and marvel at the grandeur of the mountain vistas that surround you.

Our half-day excursion takes you high up on the Norquay cliffs, climbing the Memorial, Sunrise and Vista buttresses – and of course, traversing a suspension bridge.

Led by a highly experienced ACMG-certified guide, you wear a harness that is always attached to the mountain’s steel cable pathway, securing you to the rock at all times.

Challenge level: Moderate-Difficult

Horseback Ride

Ride along the tranquil Kananaskis River, an area home to wildlife in amongst the thick marshes and grassy meadows. And if you look up, you might spot an eagle or hawk soaring through the sky.

Pass by the historic Cave and Basin – the birth place of Banff National Park. Here, craggy rock walls surround pools of bubbling thermal water. And of course, as you follow the winding trail on this ride, you’ll get unspoiled views of the magnificent Rocky Mountains the entire time.

This one is perfect for beginner riders and if we’re there with extra time we can meet the trail horses and ponies.

Max Weight: 230lbs
Challenge Level: Easy

Caving

Our caving adventure is an optional excursion on this retreat, but let me tell you why you should say YES and add this one to your cart!

This excursion is not just a physical challenge but a mental challenge, once completed you will know for certain that you are capable of more than you think!

Cavers will rappel 18m (that’s 6 Stories!) inside the cave, plus have the opportunity to push your limits in the warm-up squeeze, challenge squeeze, and the Laundry Chute – a section of the cave that adds a little extra challenge but a whole lot of extra fun. Visit the impressive Grand Gallery – the largest known room in the cave, then surround yourself with ancient cave formations in the Grotto.

After a 30-40 min hike uphill to the cave entrance we will spend approximately 4 hours underground.

All participants must wear a safety harness which has a maximum waist size of 46″ (116 cm) and a maximum leg size of 33″
Challenge Level: Moderate -Difficult

Nordic Spa

This time is for us to add balance to our adventure with a Nordic Spa wind down. At our own pace, we’ll cycle through saunas, hot tubs, cold plunges and take a break for a lovely dinner at the spa restaurant.

Challenge Level: Soooo easy

We will be hosted by Sundance By Basecamp in Kananaskis, this camping resort is a true wilderness getaway! Surrounded by Canada’s Rocky Mountains and endless opportunities for outdoor adventures.

Our stay will be in cozy Trapper’s Tents, nestled amidst the stunning Kananaskis landscape. Inside, you’ll find wooden floors and wood-frame beds with foam mattresses sealed in vinyl, as well as a small kerosene heater and lantern (fuel provided).

Outside, relax at the picnic table or cook up a mountain meal on the fire pit with a half-grill. Our Trapper’s Tents are walk-in sites, adding to the peaceful atmosphere and reducing car traffic for a more eco-friendly experience.
