Grounded & Wild:
A Day Retreat with Horses & Hiking at Sunset Beach
(Tap into your inner strength, one hoofbeat and trail step at a time.)
Being Brave Club is teaming up with Sunset Beach to bring you a rewarding and empowering equine & hiking day retreat on July 5th 2025!
This isn’t just a day with horses — it’s a day to remember who you are.
Designed for women who are ready to grow braver from the inside out, this experience invites you to stretch your comfort zone (gently but deliberately).
Our guests will experience the life-changing method of Eagala
What to Expect From Our Equine Experience:
Bravery lies in trusting yourself and not being told what to do.
Our guests will split into two groups, one group: observers and one group who will experience an Eagala encounter with three beautiful horses and one adorable foal. Once the experience is completed we will switch roles.
Your Encounter:
An Eagala treatment session consists of you working with the horses, leading a process of discovery and change, and guided by trained Eagala professionals. Your sessions are structured so that you can explore your challenges through our client-directed process.
The horse’s unique sensitivity to humans can help you understand your own internal processes more readily than through hours of talking. Your treatment team pays attention to the ways that the horses react, which can be a symbolic representation of situations in your life.
Being able to experience your life story unfolding through the horses and the external elements in the environment, you begin to gain deeper understanding into your inner world, thoughts, and behaviors.
Through this process, change occurs naturally. You become empowered to change your story. Opportunities are provided for you to discover and choose for yourself, rather than the facilitators directing the process.
Workshop with Tara
Through a blend of nervous system wisdom, intuitive exploration, and somatic practices, this session will guide you back to your inner knowing.
You’ll learn how self-care, self-trust, and intuition are deeply connected, and how your body is the gateway to all three. Together, we’ll explore simple, embodied tools that help you feel grounded, more at ease, and in tune with yourself.
This is an invitation to reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and walk away with practices that support you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

We’ll wander through one of Saskatchewan’s hidden wonders, with time to pause for snacks, photos, and meaningful connection with the other brave women on this journey. 🎒 A small backpack with water and a snack.

FAQ
Will we be riding horses?
Not this time! While we won’t be riding, you’ll still experience a deep connection with the horses through an experience designed to build trust and awareness within yourself. It’s all about learning from them and developing skills that’ll stay with you long after the day is done. Trust us — the power of the experience doesn’t come from saddles.
What should I bring with me?
Check out the What to Wear & Bring section above — we’ll be out in nature and working with horses, so come prepared for adventure, dust, and plenty of moments of connection.
Is this event for beginners?
Absolutely! No prior experience with horses or hiking is required. Whether you’re a seasoned equestrian or someone who’s never been near a horse, this retreat is designed for everyone. We’ll guide you through the experience at your own pace.
What if I’m nervous about being around horses?
No worries! Horses are incredibly intuitive and non-judgmental, and we’ll provide all the support you need to feel comfortable. This day is about stepping into bravery at your own speed, with the horses as your gentle guides.
Can I come if I’m not in top physical shape?
Yes! The activities are designed to be accessible for all fitness levels. The hike will be a leisurely pace through the dunes, and the horse activities are all about connection, not exertion.
