Rockies Retreat 2026

Omg, it’s back again! We’re going back to the Kananaskis for a whirlwind, wild adventure September 10th to 14th 2026!

For women who are ready to say YES to BIG adventure and to forging real connections…

For the ones who seek wild fresh air, sisterhood in motion, and a chance to show up for themselves with laughter, strength, and community.

Our Canadian Rockies Retreat strips away distractions—no screen and no “I’ll just stay on the sidelines” energy. Just you, the wild, and a group of incredible women cheering you on as you hike, climb, and push past your comfort zone in one of the most breathtaking landscapes on earth.

This retreat is specifically designed for women who:

🔥 Want and need a real break from their routine—no distractions, no expectations, no constant planning for everyone else.
🔥 Are active peopleLOVE adventure and are excited to try new things, challenge themselves, and move their bodies.
🔥 Want to be part of a true community, where everyone is welcome and we lift each other up—no cliques, just camaraderie.

And for those who long for:

✨ Meaningful connection with like-minded women in a child-free, substance-free space.
✨ Excitement, awe, and a fresh perspective that only time in the wild can bring.
✨ Redefining what they’re capable of —in this retreat, and in life.

If you’re ready to disconnect to reconnect, embrace adventure, and surround yourself with women who will cheer for you, not compete with you, this is your sign.

If you are an active gal who LOVES adventure and being in nature but don’t always have a group of friends who are into the same kind of wild experiences, or if you do but don’t want the hassle of planning it all—this is for you.

Our Being Brave Club retreats are designed to:

🔥 Get you out of your comfort zone—in the safety of a supportive, welcoming environment.
🔥 Inspire you to go after even more in your day-to-day life.
🔥 Shake up your routine and remind you just how much you’re capable of.

Some of what we’ll be doing might feel scary as sh*t -and that’s normal. When that fear creeps in, know that we’ve got your back. Whether it’s talking it through, screaming it out, holding your hand, or just hyping you up: we’re in this together.

By the time you head home, you’ll be able to say “I DID THAT.” And that confidence? It’s coming with you.

MEET YOUR HOST: I’m Crystal, and I believe bravery isn’t about being unafraid—it’s about taking action despite the fear. As a photographer, adventurer, and storyteller, I’ve built a career helping women step outside their comfort zones, whether that’s in front of the camera, on an epic adventure, or in their every day lives.

I’ve never been fearless, and I don’t think that’s the goal. I’ve felt fear in so many moments -starting my own business, saying yes to things I wasn’t sure I was ready for, standing at the edge of an adventure that felt bigger than me. But I’ve also learned that bravery is built in those exact moments—the ones where fear is loud, but you move forward anyway.

Adventure has been my greatest teacher. It has shown me how strong I am, how capable, how wildly alive I can feel when I stop overthinking and just go for it. It’s why I created Being Brave Club, because I know what it’s like to need a push, a reminder, a group of people who say, “You’ve got this.” And I also know the magic that happens when you prove to yourself that you do.

There are plenty of incredible places to have an adventure, but Kananaskis keeps calling me back. No matter how many times I explore these mountains, they always have something new to show me: a hidden trail, a breathtaking view, a challenge that reminds me just how capable I am.

This retreat isn’t just about getting outside, it’s about getting into the wild, into the kind of experiences that push you, reset you, and leave you feeling more alive than ever. There’s no better place to do that than here. Surrounded by fresh mountain air, untamed wilderness, and a landscape that makes you feel small in the best possible way. This is Canada at its most raw and beautiful, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Incase it hasn’t been obvious until now, this is a full-on adventure with a packed itinerary! It will be active, adrenaline inducing and one that will force you to confront some limiting beliefs. All of it is by design to bring you out of your comfort zone, into your body and build confidence by doing what you thought you couldn’t do. Here’s what we have in store:

Opening day: we’ll check into our accommodations, settle into our spaces and gather around the fire. Night one is all about connection and getting to know the women who’ll have your back through the entire adventure. Expect some silly games to make fast friends and some deep questions to form unbreakable bonds.

Our adventure is not starting off light! We’ll be picked up early and headed on an underground adventure! You guessed it, we’re going caving! We’ll make a stop at our tour office to get outfitted and oriented and then it’s into the underworld we go!

After our day underground, we’ll head back to camp to unwind and remanence this wild experience!

Today we’re going to slow it down, breakfast together, lounge time and an optional scenic waterfall hike as well as an optional trail ride through the mountains via horseback! Team-building cook out in the evening and prep for the next day’s adventure!

You could also use this day to do a DIY adventure!

Another BIG adventure day! Hope you got some rest yesterday!

We’ll be picked up early again and headed to Canmore for a day of repelling, climbing and a few more squeezes -we’re going Canyoning!

Canyoning is part hike, part splash, and pure empowerment. You’ll climb and rappel your way through a stunning mountain canyon, the kind of adventure that leaves you buzzing with pride. Capping it off with a 18′ rappel down a waterfall. This. is. BUCKET LIST. adventure!

After this big adventure we’ll have a short stop at camp to change up for an evening of relaxation, connection and sharing celebrations at the Kananaskis Nordic Spa.

Our last day, we’ll have one last breakfast together, closing circle and celebrations! Pack up camp and roll out!

CAVING

Our caving adventure is one that makes a few people feel squeemish but let me tell you why this is a MUST-DO adventure.

This excursion is not just a physical challenge but a mental challenge, once completed you will know for certain that you are capable of more than you think!

Even our gals who have been nervous about this come out feeling so empowered and on top of the world! You will have support the whole way.

We will rappel 18m (that’s 6 Stories!) inside the cave, plus have the opportunity to push your limits in the warm-up squeeze, challenge squeeze, and the Laundry Chute – a section of the cave that adds a little extra challenge but a whole lot of extra fun. We’ll visit the impressive Grand Gallery – the largest known room in the cave, then surround ourselves with ancient cave formations in the Grotto.

After a 30-40 min hike uphill to the cave entrance we will spend approximately 4 hours underground.

All participants must wear a safety harness which has a maximum waist size of 46″ (116 cm) and a maximum leg size of 33″

Challenge Level: Moderate -Difficult

TRAIL RIDE

The one hour Buffalo Loop that we’ll be doing is an ideal introduction to horses and trail riding.

Relax and enjoy the scenery as you travel through the wooded terrain and catch glimpses of the Kananaskis Range towering against blue Alberta skies.

Your ride will pass a Buffalo Paddock and you might even see some real wildlife on our trails, so keep your eyes open for squirrels, marmots, deer, elk and more!

Max Weight: 230lbs
Challenge Level: Easy

WATERFALL HIKE

This easy but scenic hike winds through forest trails to a three gorgeous waterfalls, the perfect mix of movement and magic. It’s a local favourite for good reason: short enough to feel relaxed, yet full of beauty that makes you stop and take it all in. Expect a few hills, plenty of stops for photos, and a refreshing dose of mountain air.

Challenge Level: Easy (ish) – some elevation to the final waterfalls, uneven terrain.

CANYONING

Canyoning is part hike, part climb, part splash zone and all empowerment. You’ll hike up to a stunning mountain canyon, gear up in a wetsuit and helmet, and then work your way back down through a series of waterfalls, smooth rock chutes, and pools. Expect a mix of hiking, scrambling, rappelling, and laughing your way through icy mountain water as you cheer each other on. Our guides will be with us every step of the way, and the group support makes it way more fun (and far less intimidating) than it sounds.

We’ll start with a 45min hike up to the canyon and spend a good half day adventuring through canyons, ending at an 18′ waterfall rappel.

All participants must wear a safety harness which has a maximum waist size of 42″ (116 cm) and a maximum leg size of 30″

Challenge Level: Moderate to difficult

NORDIC SPA

This time is for us to add balance to our adventure with a Nordic Spa wind down. At our own pace, we’ll cycle through saunas, hot tubs, cold plunges and take a break for a lovely dinner at the spa restaurant.

Challenge Level: Soooo easy

We will be hosted by Sundance By Basecamp in Kananaskis, this camping resort is a true wilderness getaway! Surrounded by Canada’s Rocky Mountains and endless opportunities for outdoor adventures.

Our stay will be in cozy Trapper’s Tents, nestled amidst the stunning Kananaskis landscape right along the river. Inside, you’ll find wooden floors and wood-frame beds with foam mattresses sealed in vinyl, as well as a small kerosene heater and lantern (fuel provided).
